On July 21, 2022, based on the proposal of the Academic Council of Advisors of Medcenter and the decision of the founding partners – agreement of foundation, in accordance with the current legislation, the teaching university - "Avicenna - Batumi Medical University" LLC was founded. Implementation of educational programs in the direction of medicine was defined as the main activity.
Avicenna - Batumi Medical University, based on the use of modern and innovative methods of teaching/learning and research according to Western standards, internationalization, development of international relations, and creation and sharing of knowledge, aims to make the motto "learning for life" a reality and establish itself as a strong academic platform, to get high-quality education in medicine in the region. The University, the founding organizations, based on its activities and the history of personnel experienced in the educational and scientific-research field, include all areas of health care - from prevention to rehabilitation, which provides an opportunity to prepare professional staff who respond to the challenges of the competitive western medical field. This will have a positive impact on the development of the health field of the region, as well as the quality of medical education itself.
